Who Am I?

I am a freelance Irish-Canadian web developer specializing in complex web applications, who is formally trained as a mechanical engineer. Teaching myself new skills is an obsession, which so far includes bike/motorbike riding, three languages, and - my crown jewel - web development. My goals in life are to build businesses/products that change how people live their lives, become a thought leader through writing, travel the world without relying on English, and experience the infinite glories of life each skill and culture at a time.

I'm actively travelling Asia from October 1st to April 15th before moving to Berlin. I'm using this opportunity to focus on various non-enumerated passions, like writing, personal coding projects, languages, and reading.

If you're looking for someone to build your site, a partner in a project, need guidance about getting into web development, or just want to grab coffee, drop me a line via:

What Can I Do?

Why Talk To Me?

I lost over 100 pounds in my second year of university after a life of childhood obesity, and then topped it off with a half-marathon. I later did the Ride to Conquer Cancer from Vancouver to Seattle (250km), raising over $10k for cancer research. Graduated with distinction from Mechanical Engineering at the University of British Columbia. Became a professional full-stack web developer from scratch, while also learning three languages after abandoning medical school applications. I'm travelling the world starting with Asia for 6.5 months before moving to Europe.

And the story has just begun, in many ways I feel my life only started a few years ago.

What do I write about?

I am extremely analytical. My thoughts are dominated with analyses of myself and everyone around me; how we all live our lives, and why we do what we do. My biggest addiction in life are unique and weird experiences, punctuated with several hour long discussions with the beautiful people I meet. I travel the world in search of these experiences and people, learning languages to open the doors to more of them. I can be obsessively interested in almost every skill and subject.

My writing draws from these aspects of my personality, perhaps they may interest you. If you think it might, check out my blog, and consider subscribing to my sporadic emails:
